If you've ever heard Penelope, you know she loves to sing and make people "feel" something. Before joining Platinum Express 5 years ago, she fronted her own Blues band, Penelope and The UnUsual Suspects, who toured the region and played many venues and festivals in Iowa, Arkansas, Nebraska, Kansas and Missouri, sharing their brand of high energy Blues music. Her influences are the greats of Soul, Gospel and R&B; the likes of Patti Labelle, The Pointer Sisters, Aretha, Etta James, Ella Fitzgerald and Mahalia Jackson. She always dreamed of singing with a big band and found that dream realized when she joined Platinum Express. She loves all her band mates and crew and appreciates the opportunity to share her voice with others.
